Position Summary:

As a member of the Staples Talent Acquisition (TA) team you will be responsible for supporting our Talent Acquisition Specialists in recruitment efforts with a focus on sourcing to identify leads for our open store management openings.

Functional Sourcing Capability:

  • Leverage all sourcing tools to identify target number of viable leads

  • Conduct pre-qualifying calls

  • Take the lead on cold calling

  • Daily calls with Recruiter

  • Weekly connect calls with business partners

  • Weekly updates to Recruiter

  • Track and report results

  • Hiring event management as requested or suggested for the region

  • Use TA systems (Taleo as ATS; Smashfly as CRM) and business systems (Microsoft Office) to provide updates, identify obstacles and collaborate on solutions

  • Follow legal/compliance requirements for selection and hiring

  • Make recommendations to improve established processes

Qualifications

Basic:

  • 1 year relevant work experience sourcing and conducting searches using resume databases and job boards (i.e., Indeed, LinkedIn)

  • Basic proficiency with ATS and CRM systems

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)

  • Ability to establish positive rapport and listen to TA Specialists and Hiring Teams to clearly understand their respective needs and specifications of the job

  • Effectively communicate knowledge of Staples business to influence applicants to see Staples as a great place to work

  • Possess basic knowledge of Talent Acquisition legal requirements

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with Taleo
