Staples Transportation Analyst in Framingham, Massachusetts

Logistic Analyst position is responsible to coordinate the movement of Staples Brand Group’s container volume of 17,000 containers globally with Global Staples Business Units, Service providers (ocean carriers, brokers, drayage, freight forwarders) and Facilities around the world to meet on time metrics. This position will also create export documentation and coordinate the export shipments. This position is extremely customer focused and responsible for effectively working with other groups and departments throughout the Supply Chain, including International Logistics, Third Party Logistics provider, SBG replenishment and Global Business units to achieve synchronized goal of reaching Supply Chain Excellence.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee logistics providers to ensure high standards of supply chain are met, which includes on time booking, tendering, shipping and delivering.

  • Analyze reports to manage incoming volumes and insure on time metrics are being met.

  • Track and Trace cargo with drayage, ocean carriers, Staples facilities and customs brokers to resolve issues and delays.

  • Monitor incoming EDI and highlight challenges with Dray carriers and ocean carriers as needed.

  • Manage and execute timely communications surrounding issues being encountered in the Supply chain and suggested solutions.

  • Audit and dispute assessorial expenses billed by service providers.

  • Coordinate the delivery and processing of containers through 3rd party de-consolidator

  • Execute Overage/Shortage and Damage process

  • Prepare Export paperwork for all Staples exports timely and accurately Monthly bill back of freight charges to customers

  • Assist in problem resolution of orders within Staples processing and expediting through to deliver

  • Work with Freight forwarders on routing cargo and tracking and tracing Assist in problem resolution of orders within Staples processing and expediting through to delivery

  • Assist Sales and other Staples team on customer complaints / problems while using these opportunities to train to avoid re- occurrence

  • Data entry of shipments, filing and archiving previous years shipments

Qualifications

Basic:

  • Bachelors Degree or 2-4 years of experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Excellent working knowledge of PC applications including Excel, Word, Access, V-Lookups, formulas

  • Ability to effectively work cross functionally

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Time Management Skills Ability to prioritize workload
