Staples SEO Analyst in Framingham, Massachusetts


Job Summary

As an essential member of the Global Marketing SEO team, this Analyst position is the primary owner of SEO data analysis and SEO compliance monitoring which supports a best-in-class SEO strategy for desktop, mobile and emerging search landscapes.

He/she is accountable for identifying SEO opportunities of significance that support traffic & revenue acquisition strategies by using 1st and 3rd party tools, identifying actionable findings within analytics platforms, performing light technical / compliance audits, crafting actionable recommendations that clearly outline preferred & best practice states, effectively communicating issues to audiences that have varying degrees of SEO knowledge, and providing accurate and timely reporting.

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of SEO best practices, industry tools, data analysis, and experience with complex ecommerce platforms.

• Full site crawl and server logfile analysis (Botify, DeepCrawl, Screaming Frog, Splunk)

• Custom data extractions & processing (XPath, Excel Formulas, Regex, CSS Selector, SQL)

Education/ExperienceEquivalent (minimum requirements)

  • BachelorDegree or Equivalent Experience

  • 5+ YearsSEO, Analytics & Data Analysis Experience

  • Proficiencywith Omniture Site Catalyst, Google Analytics, advanced Excel formulas / Arrays, Screaming Frog, data extractions, log file analysis, major crawlingtools, popular rank tracking / crawling SaaS platforms, bot management rules,CDNs, and enterprise level e-Commerce platforms

  • Experiencewith Tableau, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access, MySQL, Adobe DataWarehouse

  • Anintermediate understanding of HTML, CSS, JS, and AJAX
