Senior Software Engineer

Position Description: Perform software engineering, establish standards, and maintain clear and consistent data mappings and definitions using tools including ANZO, Contivo, and Athena. Improve and refine the canonical data model by working with various application teams. Manage the Splunk infrastructure (upgrades, new install, alerting, monitoring, and daily/weekly reports). Write complex Splunk queries to reporting and alerting. Develop Splunk dashboards based on consumer/business requirements. Provide solutions for potential issues in the governance process and automate them. Create new information architecture standards and enforce policies for governance. Work across creating canonical run time schemas from data models. Work with SOA team that handles API modeling and mapping work. Communicate with peer teams to gather information and analyze application data. Conduct working sessions with application teams to create mapping specifications to convert data from one application to another. Provide leadership with thoughts on strategic information and governance model work and focus on continuous improvement and automation.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills : Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Business Administration, or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience with data analytics, as well as methodologies, verification, and validation processes. Experience must include:

Two (2) years of experience with each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • XML and SOAP structure

  • Ignite XML Organizer, Canonical Model management and governance to maintain industry standard XML framework

  • Mapping tools including ANZO and Athena
