Staples Marketing Specialist, Retail Marketing in Framingham, Massachusetts
The role of the Marketing Specialist, Retail Marketing is to support promotional vehicle planning in partnership with Marketing, Merchandising, Portfolio and external agencies. The responsibility for managing multiple reports, ensuring all data inputs are accurate and that campaigns and promos are planned to execute correctly and within budget parameters is held in this role.
A successful candidate in this position will have strong project management skills as well as organizational skills as this position requires moving at a fast pace in order to produce the weekly product. Working alongside the Program and Project Manager, Retail Marketing will be key for collaboration and flawless execution. The Marketing Specialist will have the opportunity to manage projects while getting exposure to a variety of marketing vehicles and functions within Staples.
This Marketing Specialist role is within the Retail Marketing group, which is focused on driving sales and traffic to Staples US Retail stores. For US Retail, promotional vehicles play an important role in the marketing support plan for business.

Weeklysite QA and working with vendor partners to implement changes
Supportany new technology or tools to improve reporting, tracking and collaboration

Communicateand collaborate in all stages from planning to roll-out to reporting

Education/Experience Equivalent (minimum requirements)
1-2 years marketing or project managementexperience
Experienceworking with external agencies is preferred
Projectand time management skills, with the ability to balance many project atdifferent stages simultaneously
Highlymotivated and organized – with the ability to flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment
Creativethinker, problem solver with a positive attitude
Understandingof the components that make up a marketing project, including workflowforecasting, and how to assess opportunities for a more efficient process
Demonstratedanalytical skills. May be responsible for obtaining data, running reports anddrawing conclusions from analysis
Demonstratedproficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint, Wordand Outlook. Access and design skills a plus
Experienceworking with/managing agencies and/or vendors
